no hes an athiest i think ; well thats where a lot of Athiest would go I think; morality does not have a gold standard but is a product of the times it is applied to; which then raises the question is good or evil just plastic concepts to be molded as we want or even is there any such thing as good or evil in an athiest philosophical framework and as you can see were no longer discussing God which would have been the purpose of A theist who might want to use the original topic of the thread as an arguement so thats why I don't consider it could ever lead to a proof but it may then make an athiest consider the implication of the outcome of this debate at an emotional/instinctual which I think is a very potent way to begin to change someones mind. You just need to see how many poor laws are brought in on the bases of very emotionally provocative and often rare events that logic was not the primary shift in public opinion. And why political parties play to patriotism so much.
