So you gave an example, where the intruder found the gun in the house, and you asked me what I would do in a similar incident? So I pointed out that as I have no guns the incident would play out differently, how is that avoiding the question?
But since you seem incapable of forming a question that gets you the answer you want, I will help you.
If people entered my house armed with guns, crossbows, swords, or intercontinental ballistic missiles, while I was asleep and killed me and all my family, there would be very little I could do about it.
Now what are the chances of that happening? And how many deaths happen in homes where there is a gun? Who is safer?
Show me how a gun makes my children safer?
