Pap, this reminds me of the time when I walked into the office of the manager of the Criminal Investigation group ( the IRS guys with guns ) and he was sitting there with box after box of ammunition piled up. I casually asked "Planning on starting a war?" ( The joke was that CI never fired their guns.... they were accountants who could make arrests...except in practice. ) He informed me that they had bought 10,000 rounds of "practice ammunition" with "ceramic" bullets. Naturally, I asked what the point of that was and he said that they were getting richochets from hitting the steel frames on the targets. I said, "if your guys could shoot better they wouldn't hit the frames." He told me to go fuck myself. (We always got along.)
Anyway, several months later this manager was giving a gun safety class to a bunch of his agents when his gun accidentally discharged planting a ceramic bullet on the concrete right next to his foot. The shards went through his shoe which led to lots of jokes about CI shooting itself in the foot. We never did let him live that down.
