You seem to have a problem separating fiction from academia. You let your hatred for religion cloud the fact that the Bible actually is mostly a recollection of a people living in what is now Israel/Palestine in their interactions with both themselves and other nations, often corroborated by sources from those nations (well the major powers...those records though corroborating refer to Israel as some second-rate power that got in the way instead of a force to deal with).
The problem is that in your effort to disprove the legitimacy of accounts in the Bible, you latch on to authors who don't adhere to university standards. It gives religious folk the upper hand when you do that by removing any credibility you may have...
So in short, open a history book and stop resorting to online websites with no academic value unless you like being a stereotypical American.
