I have only been on this forum for six months and At first I was not ready for the differences of American and British culture. I am now not surprised at all that you don't know any atheists. The level of conformity expected in America shocked me. The amount of posts I am an atheist, but it would upset so many people if I admitted it, means you probably know many, but they will not speak about it openly.
