Sure, but I think the Muslims' claim for a miracle here refers to the earth's crust - which is supposed to play the role of a carpet that someone spreads out to protect us from the hot, fluid inside of the earth. Like a carpet that you put on a rough surface to make it more comfortable to walk and to sit on. That's the point I think.
But you're right, even if the Quran stated that the earth's spherical shape was mentioned in it that would be no argument at all for the Greeks were ways earlier!
