Let's say that science proves that God exists

Here's a fun one…
Let's say that science proves the existence of God - A perfect logical proof (with evidence) that clearly states that the universe was created by a creator. Nothing more, nothing less...

Well if that happened I would see it as an interesting fact and continue on as normal.

What will happen to the people on earth?

That depends on which god was proven. I mean if you prove the existence of the aztec god of war it would go differently than if you proved the existence of zeus.

What religion would they cling to?

Me none. I would not join a religion even if god was proven to exist. As I said it would just be an interesting fact like we are stardust.

Would there be world peace?

I think there would be more and bloodier wars as the different faiths and subsets of faiths get insentivised.
