Judaism used to be a polytheistic religion you know... the primary god figure even had a 'companion' goddess at one time.
I'm not entirely sure why they changed this religion into mono-theism though
Anyway, if you look at the angels, demons, the devil (2-3 different ones?), archangels, prophets, lesser-gods, greater-demons, father-son-ghost, virgin births, talking serpents, etc: It's pretty obvious where some of those older gods went
