You have made Aractus angry - and that makes Mr Bigglesworth upset!
No fucking wonder you were banned at the Islamic forums - you can't even accept the fact that you aren't qualified to provide textual criticism! We Christians have Biblical Scholars who specialize specifically in textual criticism - I can't speak for Islamic scholars. We have Biblical Scholars who specialize in other things also.
I don't have to blow apart your argument - that isn't my agenda. I approach it the same way I would any other science - because textual criticism is, basically, a science. The onus of proof is on you. You've been told you cannot tell us what the text explicitly states unless you're reading the original language and reading it in context. You rehash your argument "but all six English versions use the same word" - the same argument that was already disproved to you!

I don't have an agenda here to defend Islam - I hate Islam. You have failed to acknowledge that you're criticizing the ENGLISH translation of an ARABIC text. It doesn't matter what you say about it, how solid you think your argument is, you're not working with the original, you're working with a translation, and you're trying to tell us that what you have to say about the translation is more valid than what somebody has to say about the Arabic!! You're totally full of crap. I demonstrated to you, using Greek, how the expressive nature of one language can be lost in translation, even if you have - literally - dozens of translations into English that all have the same basic wording.

He didn't look up cheating because he wanted to stop, he wanted to justify what he was doing and to keep that continuing on." - Nicole Cooke
