Why teach Creationism over Science

It bugs me that im always hearing about people wanting to teach creationism in place of science. First of all it is false. Second it is not even taught as a science in church it is taught in the same way they teach history. They dont try to teach you how things work they just lay out a series of events for you. So them replacing science with creationism is like replacing science with american history.

Those who advocate teaching creation aren't opposing science, we are opposing the theory of evolution and the claim that it has been scientifically proved to be true. Here is a site that shows that creation can be supported scientifically:

Sorry - but there is NOTHING scientific about that site. THERE are no scientific studies - none that have used proper procedures and have been published in peer reviewed scientific journals.

Creation CANNOT be supported scientifically because is has ONE MAJOR flaw right from the start - the assumption that a "god" exists. Science would need proof of that first.

Evolution is a group of theories - and MOST of them have already been PROVEN to be true - certainly Darwin's main theory - of NATURAL Selection - was. SO was the theory that led to the discovery of DNA and how traits are passed from one generation to another. In fact - the Catholic Church had already proven natural selection BEFORE Darwin - when they had the Grape Blight in France - and they had to graft roots of resistant grape plants to the stems of the grape varieties they wanted - thereby keeping the wine grape harvest going.

AND the problem with creation is that - it too is a group of theories - and many of them have already been proven wrong. There was NO time on earth when ALL animals existed at the same time - it did not happen. Certainly - gravity and physics and other things proves that the SUN HAD to exist before the earth formed. The earth is Unquestionably far older than the bible timeline of about 6000 years. AND that can be proven with simply counting of rings in an ancient tree stump - AND ice layers in samples at the poles.

Now the problem comes in - ONCE you have invalidated part of theory - it is up to the people who made the theory to correct their theory taking in - the new information - or for them to claim a NEW theory - taking in that information . THAT is how science works.

FOr example - ONCE we know that humans are not able to eat all seed bearing plants for food - then it is up to the creators of the bible to correct their book - and make in consistent with the reality.

So - WHEN are the XTIANS going to rewrite the bible and remove everything in it that is scientifically wrong?
