Why would everyone have a PHD? Our specie's genome would be improved in some ways... but we are all individuals who all want to do what we like to do
Some people have a real knack for cooking, and love to do it... why shouldn't they cook? Some people enjoy waiting on people (myself for instance)... why shouldn't they wait on people? If a person is capable... and they would like to do something benign-beneficial: I see no reason whatsoever to restrict them from doing so
