Fair enough about your evil presence story. I'm sure someone will want to chew through whatever you want to share on that and other points in the main body of the forum.
As for your Richard Dawkins quote, it is sort of the done thing here to cite sources for these things. It's not a hard and fast rule per se, merely a courtesy. You'd be surprised at how many mined quotes we get; it's something of a hobby of mine to chase the sources of them to see how much substance they may (or may not) carry.
Regarding McGrath and Lennox, I was aware of the unintentional hypocrisy of my previous post only some time after I made it; it was born out of a combination of real-life distraction and unfamiliarity with those individuals and was not deliberate. As I have since learned, John Lennox is among other things a mathematician and thus deserving of the title. Whether Alistair McGrath is similarly deserving is perhaps arguable, since his field is apparently "theology, ministry and education". As such I would agree that any professorial title he may hold is indeed honorary. Either way, I reiterate that what matters is the integrity of what they produce and not the character of the individuals that produce it. Even the best-regarded academics and scholars are expected to show their work.

At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
