"Birds" represent "cover" and therefore they are closely associated with the idea represented by Christ. (I would have to study the lyrics of other songs by this group to determine if this connection was more than an accident.)
The secrets of the allegory have been shared with many artists and writers throughout the centuries. These are the ones who have "sold their soul to the Devil" in return for fame and fortune. But remember, if someone claims authorship of a work, it does not mean they actually wrote it. Many times an artist will just have the metaphorically correct name, and they will be chosen as a cover for someone else's work (i.e. Joseph Smith, Shakespear)
I am starting to become very fond of you.

"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."
