Less bearing than walking alone through a dark back alley... but attractiveness has bearing on getting some people interested in the first place. More bearing in better lit places, where one can see whether or not a person is attractive. Think of it this way: is a man walking alone through a dark back alley likely to be raped? Beaten down, mugged, shot: sure; but raped? Hardly. Attractiveness (sexually) is a necessary part of the process.
Also has a connection with family/family friend rape. I mean, based on statistics alone: trust nobody, and put your faith more in strangers than in the people you know The state of the person who can be incited to rape has a much more significant impact upon it than anything else, probably.
Please give me a home where cloud buffalo roam
Where the dear and the strangers can play
Where sometimes is heard a discouraging word
