Why do feminists have such a bad reputation?

I think feminists have a bad rep because when people think of feminism they automatically think of radical feminists like the cunt in the video of the first post. But that's not true. If you're a feminist, you believe women are equal to men. It's that simple. You don't have to be radical. I'm a feminist in that I believe that women should be completely equal to men (which has not happened yet. Look at private sector jobs. Women still make less money than men. It's ridiculous!)
