You obviously have a restricted vocabulary. This is probably not your fault, but "research" does not strictly mean "empirical data gathered from a test by way of scientific method".
If a theist did research, they would discover their scripture matches secular teachings in historical events (Mesopotamian flood narrative, Jericho, Babylon, Egypt, etc.), they would discover that the "contradictions" generally don't even apply to each other, and that, in comparison with other ancient texts, including simple historical records, the bible is amazingly accurate. There is probably some partiality to kings (such as Solomon) or scribal errors (King Saul became king at 1 year old and died at 2 years old), but overall the record keeping is fantastic. They'll find that the moral teachings are largely accepted as society's norms in all western culture today, yet in that time period the usual way to do science was magical incantation or astrology, and the way to give to God was sacrifice, yes, but Hebrews didn't include the orgies or the sacrifice of children or the masochism of their own flesh. They actually seem... well... Holy?

The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.
