Still a wrong statement, but better. Water will not carry oxygen. In fact, adding in water to someone who has suffered from intensive blood loss can give them water toxicity - it must be very carefully moderated. Thats why we give plasma, because those that little bit of proteins and miscellaneous electrolytes keep the system stable. Still does not compensate for the ensuing asphyxia.
