Slavery is a good thing, at times... as is taking what others give you when they assume just a little too much.
Quote:None sense. You do know what you are describing is old European aristocracy standards?
Eyup.
Femininity, after all, is a cultural invention. What is America if not a little lost child of England? I certainly was not referring to Kiwi or Chink understandings of femininity, because gurl: they cray.
Quote:Just as it is today with rich men who has all the money and all they want is for their wives to look pretty all the time to show them off like trophies to their entourage.
Blond bimbo trophy wives. Gotta replace 'em every time they start slipping... but they're lucky there: there's no shortage of pretty young women.
Quote:That was never how the rest of the world works and expected from women except those who envy the rich and famous. You got the rest of us all wrong Missy though, you'll still cute.
Sure it is... little cliques form as early as mid-elementary school, and one of the cliques is always the 'pretty bitch' clique (not to be confused with the popular clique, regardless of how often they intersect (often)). The little girls are told by their parents that they're to be cooks, and nurses, and school marms, and housewives, and mothers... the little boys are told by their parents that they're to be soldiers, and doctors, and engineers, and politicians, and husbands.
Mahaps you were lucky, and found yourself with parents who totally didn't subscribe to the social establishment of gender expectations, and they didn't lay any of 'em down on you... but that's just the thing: there is one of these, and the poor people perpetuate it as well as the rich. Haves and have nots both have children, and unless they're totally irresponsible: they have expectations for those children.
You'll still cute, Mister though.

Shouldn't it be the reverse?
You go for the bottom entrance? Gotcha.

"RHYTHM! We've got another one for your brood-makin! Should we save her for later, or bring her upstairs now?!"
Please give me a home where cloud buffalo roam
Where the dear and the strangers can play
Where sometimes is heard a discouraging word
But the skies are not stormy all day
