You say that Christians use unsubstantiated statements and that we are wrong for doing so, so stop complaining or stop using the unsubstantiated cries of this teen.
Fine, let's completely ignore everything the OP said and pretend he's lying. If you don't want me to assume what he says is true, then what the hell are you wasting your time for?
So when Christians pass on second hand statements it's not ok, but when atheist do so it is quite alright, double standard.

MA Wrote:You don't rescue people from ignorance by telling them they are ignorant. You rescue people from ignorance by giving them knowledge.
I believe that's what I said, by the way belief in God is not ignorance, ignorance is believing you can change our hearts and minds.
MA Wrote:As a side note, Satanism IS a religion and the law that allows Good News Clubs to operate in grade schools allows the Temple of Satan or the Church of Set to do the same, and there's no legal recourse a school has in that situation but to shut down all of its extracurricular programs...and I think the Church of Set would still have a court case if it was done specifically to exclude them from inviting children from a meeting with baloons and cookies where they can learn lessons from the Bible (the Satanic Bible, of course).
I believe I said that I would not object to any other type of club, I'm not saying I approve of what they may teach, this is America and the law of the land.

Really, the only atheist I know are white. Are you ashamed of being an atheist? It seems to me you would be doing something in your hometown, oh right you are not wanting people to know you're an atheist, again why. Then why are you here complaining about something you can't change.
Marnie Wrote:I can't post the website, PDFs, or Facebook page because then you would know where I lived! They say multiple times operating out of the area of ----------. The website lists the schools it operates in. I'm pulling quotes directly from there website in some of my posts. I blank out words so no one can Google them and find my school.
What's wrong with us knowing where your school is? Good for their website, at least they are not ashamed of Who they stand for. The reason you do not want us to know where your school is, is simple you do not want people to know you're an atheist.

MA Wrote:A club couldn't be based on mere atheism (or theism). It can, however, be a place where atheist students can enjoy each others company without people like you sneering at them and lying about them, which you just did when you said atheists believe in nothingness. We don't believe in God. I don't believe true nothingness ever has or can exist.
I do not sneer at atheist, I do make my stand about what I believe and without the sneer or lying. I was talking about God, not existence, God in school is the subject isn't it. You're jumping to your own self definition of my statements. Let's stay on subject.

MA Wrote:I know about Good News and similar clubs operating in grade schools when kids are way too impressionable for it to be fair to recruit them like that. In Middle School it's not so bad, and in HS I have no beef, but 6-10 year old? Really?
These guys are not operating in a grade school, the OP is about middle and high school, stay on subject and stop twisting things to fit your desire, so you can make them out to be monsters. Since middle and high school doesn't bother you what is your complaint?

MA Wrote:Not having one particular belief is not the same thing as having no belief. Atheists can have lots of beliefs and lots of purposes...and atheist clubs are springing up in High Schools across the country and some of them have been around for years. But I've read enough of your posts not to expect honesty. You've been around here long enough to know what you're saying is false.
Again the subject is God in schools, I'm sticking to the subject why aren't you. My reference was a non belief in God and without a belief in God atheist have no purpose to stand on. I understand atheist have different purposes in life, I would be ignorant to say otherwise, so what I said was not false, you're just wanting to make an issue where none exists.
MA Wrote:The funny thing is that even if you're right about your own religion, you won't make the cut for heaven. The Bible is clear on how we will know a disciple of Christ and you are the opposite of it.
Only God can decide that, it's not your kingdom, and by what scripture says I will be with my God forever and ever. What could an atheist possibly know about being a disciple of Christ. You do not like the strong stance I take for my God, it irritates you to no end, and as you say, if I'm right wouldn't you want to know, I know for a fact that God is real and has made me a part of His life!!!!!!!!!
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
