I've said what I think the mind is. It's a product of the brain. I think your spirit is also your soul. It's a gutteral instinct. Something uncontrollable, yet access is facilitated by conscious thought. You think right, your are in harmony with your gut. You think wrong, your gut is twisted. Comprendez?

The brain is where the mind comes together. However, the total human body contributes to thought processes in the brain. The term thought processes also seems to leave out emotional feelings that clearly can have an origin outside the brain but in the human body and leave a mark on our thought. Antonio Damasio has formulated the so called somatic markers hypothesis to describe this.
