Actually - Xtianity - which is entirely based on the requirement that we accept the story of Adam and EVE creation even when we already know it is NOT TRUE - is especially ridiculous.
FIrst - if YOU are a christian - and YOU accept the bible - the bible clearly says in Isiah - that we are not responsible for the sins of others (Our fathers) - but are personally responsible only for the ones WE commit ourselves. (Stated plainly)
SO - the idea that anyone beyond EVE - would be responsible for "original sin" is rejected by the bible itself. AND - to support that one - read - 1 Timothy 2 - where it is again stated in the bible that it was EVE who sinned.
THere are so many problems with the religious claims that I could go on forever about them if I lived that long. Why would there be a "WAR" between the devil (Evil) - and god (Supposedly good) =- when the god is supposedly ALMIGHT and the highest power in the universe and able to do anything. Evil can ONLY exist if the god wants it to. If the god did not want evil to exist - it supposedly could WILL it gone without effort.
Now - if WE are not responsible for the sins of others - Explain the PASSOVER - that can only be explained as a mass murder of people who did nothing themselves (THEY were not their leader - they did not even choose him) - to deserve to be killed.
