I had one as a young child and he did not do any of this. we went to quite a few( i suffered from depression, anxiety, ocd, and suicidal tendencies) and i none of them were like this. when i turned 17 mine supported my decision to take matters into my own hands and quite the meds. it took a while and was very very difficult but he saw the determination in me and encouraged only my best.
He did diagnose me with some authority issue probably because i was upfront on my views on that
