The US always surprises me. It sees no problem attacking pointlessly countries like Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia. But when there is a credible humanitarian crisis like in Syria where Assad is butchering entire towns, mining the escape routes so that you can see women and children being blown 50 ft in to the air simply for trying to escape the violence, the US sits in the sidelines. Meanwhile, Russia is about to deliver surface to air systems to Assad's thugs because Russia obviously has no problems watching civilians being suppressed in such a ruthless fashion. Kudos to Qatar and Saudi Arabia though for looking the other way as suicide bombers and militants enter Syria and also for shipping heavy weapons in from Eastern Europe.
Although to be fair to the US, they did "liberate" Libya, the country with the highest number of suicide bombers in Iraq, Benghazi is practically the capital Islamist militants.
