Did I say that you were stupid? I did not... I only said that it's not particularly complicated (there isn't much to parse). Were I to compare it to video games: it would not be Dwarf Fortress... but Civilization. The only thing unfortunate is that you apparently don't realize this... hence the 'you're just starting' comment.
Prefer simple things with enormous depth, myself.

The subject addressed by the book is pretty one-dimensional, and very straightforward. Like a long narrow tunnel between two states... 'the big picture' can be seen only through the microscope.
