As far as I'm aware, the non-believer is a well-known skeptic (Sanal Edamaruku), and challenged the self-confessed "Tantric guru" Pandit Surender Sharma to try to kill him on live TV using only black magic.

I also heard the excuse the "guru" used was that the skeptic was being protected by powerful gods. The skeptic responded that he was an atheist. Weird gods.
