The "ten commandments" are God's direct words to us! They are a guide to live by. To deny that is to deny God & Jesus' sacrafice for us!
Yes, we can be saved by professing Jesus as our Lord and Saviour.
But there are our words, and then our hearts. You/me can say anything...but do we mean it? Even people doing God's work will NOT be saved!
Jesus said, "Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!"
