Did you flunk maths at school? Do you learn stuff really slowly because you limit yourself so severely?
That must be really hard to maintain. I mean, the assumptions we all make in everyday life to simply function must be a real challenge to you.
That seems a little harsh.
Regarding the OP now, it is easy to retrospectively make a passage fit a current view after it is already known. This is why nostradamus predictions are often 'right' (sometimes) because people find a way to interpret them to fit an event that has already occured.
Also, many of those things are simply incorrect without even needing interpretation. Pythagoras calculated the earth was round and determined its circumference 2500 years ago, and also the Earth does not float.
Again, it is easy to find a vague mildy poetic phrase and contort it to fit some event or fact retrospectively.
