We're social animals. In order to survive we've evolved certain traits that maximize our chances of doing so. Co-operation is one of them, as is empathy, and an ability to value the lives and happiness of others in our group.

Are you kidding me?! And you're calling me a dreamer and a dimwit? Have you been to Detriot lately? Don't! You won't find much "Co-op'ing", or "empathy"....or "value of life" etc.

More than that, we live in a physical world, where we can say certain things about the conditions of life; pleasure is preferable to pain, life is preferable to death, and so on. These things aren't in contention, they're simply objective facts. We can use these to build up a more complex moral system, and we have. That's why so few of the bible's commandments are actual laws; most of them don't fit into a secular moral framework, because they aren't the source of morality.

Who is "we" building a "more complex, secular moral framework" right now in this country? AAS?

Is anyone else believing this trash?

Meanwhile, your contention is that the only thing stopping you from committing evil acts is that sky daddy says not to. That you're so completely morally bankrupt and idiotic that there's no way you could figure out that killing is wrong without having it pointed out to you. That you're only barely restrained from murder and rape at all times by your book of made up fairytales.

And you would actually call this a moral system?

And if not, if you could figure out this stuff without god, how can you claim it's the source of morality?

And if you are claiming he's the source of morality, then what about all those times he ordered immoral acts?

Educate yourself, dimwit.

Do you really believe what you write? Or is this your lame attempt to fill a page so your buddies wouldn't think that you are the idiot that you really are? Rambling still isn't an answer.

What you choose to ignore is that there is NO ONE teaching morals to our children in this country. Not schools. Not parents. Not YOU!

There is a culture of death in our society. And it gets worse day by day. As the "commandments" fall, so does our consciousness.

That message is loud & clear to our children! Its our actions that our kids learn from. Not some "co-op'ed value" that you think is born in them!

But you refuse to acknowledge it. You point fingers, yet don't lift one yourself. You tear down any good that the vast majority Chrisitians have done, for the sins of a few. What charitible foundation do you belong to that feeds, clothes and helps anyone regardless of belief, or lack of?

You point to a hand full of sentences in the bible that portray God in exactly the light you want him in. Yet ignore thousands of passages that are profoundly great!

YOU take the hard look in the mirror. You are everything that is wrong with this world. The only thing important to you, is you.
