The bible says that to tell the devil and God, or devil spirits and the holy spirit apart... you need to believe in (put your faith in?) God? Seems like we're back at square one again and kind of... circular reasoning if that's the case hm?

Hell no, all could be faked. We are dealing with mighty supernatural entities here that could delude us easily. You could think you were talking to the master of the universe and meanwhile selling your heart to the devil. This means a wise believer might want some verification. So how do we authenticate the bible as the word of the real god. On blind faith? Maybe we could use our innate morals to authenticate it.
Ah, that's right, I have done that already and found enough disturbing things (genocide, child slaughter, condoning of slavery, misogyny) to have more than reasonable doubt about its alleged author.
