I've actually tried this method. Turns out to work pretty nicely.

The general manager at my current job worked as a cop for 6 years. Finally he had enough and just quit without even looking for a new job. He describes some crazy things he experienced. He told me the worst was coming up on a wreck and not being able to do anything for the victims except stand there until the paramedics showed up. You couldn't even touch them in case of spinal injuries you might aggravate. He just felt helpless while waiting.
