Quote:The German prison system has been completly about resocialisation since 1949 and the bad reputation prisons gained here before 1945.Well, having an apprenticeship and educational course doesn't guarantee you a job, but increases the chance of getting a job, indeed.
All inmates have to take an apprenticeship or another educational course which will ensure that they will certainly get a job after being released.
If a prisoner is released and it is likely he will commit another serious offence, the state puts that person under 24 hour surveilance by the police for the rest of that persons life.
But most criminals that are in for the offense of dealing in illegal substances, or have committed burglaries and etc. are inside because they were not satisfied with the said work that you can obtain inside a prison.
It's good thinking, of course, but only in the case that the government guarantees them this employment.
