I've known them all for years...20+ as a matter of fact! I see them at churches for weddings, funerals and memorials for fallen brothers & sisters.
They don't hate religion or God... they hate responsibility. Like most who don't practice their faith.
Interesting. If they don't think they need church or religion and yet believe in God then surely it is more likely that they feel that given church or religion doesn't offer the right pathway to him.
I cannot imagine that someone who believes in God, life everlasting, heaven, hell and the rest of it would risk it all because they are too lazy to get out of bed on a Sunday morning.
Laziness would seem to me to be the most unlikely of explanations.
