However, it should be noted that Kurds have lived in Turkey for a very long time, generations in fact. They make up the largest minority in Turkey (15-20%). And they're still treated rather poorly by the Turkish government.
Also, you mentioned property ownership as a pathway to citizenship. The best figure I can find estimates that about 72% of Turks own property (note: I assume this is meant as Turkish citizens, not ethnic Turks). How can you justify property ownership as necessary for citizenship, when about a third of the country doesn't own property?
