A Theist, DeistPaladin:
The sad fact of it is...you guys are right. Let's face it, regardless where our political ideologies lie, all three of us are doing what DePa describes: We hold our noses and tip the glass back.
More clever and intellectually-stimulating debates between left and right leaning individuals happen in the form of Bill O'Reilly and Jon Stewart than anything that happens on fuckin' Capitol Hill. BOTH parties are sick to the teeth of their respective party's inability to do anything other than deadlock themselves in the most immaturely obstinate ways imaginable. They're at a maturity level that rivals Catfish for sheer childishness at this point and neither side is getting anything done.
I think there needs to be more people rallying for independent parties. Or even just plain independents. We've seen grassroots movements do a lot in the last 15, 20 years, ESPECIALLY within the last 10. This isn't some hypothetical shit...it could easily happen if people stopped the lethargic, moping "bawww, nothing will ever change" shit. Dammit, I wish I had some kind of voice that could get around to get people rallying around the idea of espousing independent runners for office...make people elect leaders not based on how much money they can spend on ads, but on how many people turn out to clamor for their election.
