I'm a native Texan and I can agree with that. It stinks, too. You know where else offends the nostrils? Montana. Beautiful state if you like miles of nothing, but it smells. So do parts of Canada, ironically those near Montana (hmmm . . . wonder if there's a connection?).
For me, the worst place so far has been Alaska. Apparently I don't function well with lack of or over-abundance of sun, and the summer I was there practically the whole state was on fire. Temps got into the 90's with no AC in the house, and did I mention that practically the whole state was on fire? I cleaned soot out of my TV for 2 years.
