Try "Atheism: A Philosophical Justification" by Michael Martin.
You will find some contemporary apologists who will argue that Martin doesn't address more recent "developments" in theology/apologetics (which I interpret to mean a bigger, better piece of dog shit), but don't be fooled by their smokescreen. His work is absolutely devastating to their position, and they haven't even begun to deal with what he has done.
Not to derail the thread, but I can't help but acknowledge the presence of another admirer of Popper and Joyce.
