At least from the writings of astrophysicists and other scientists who write about their fields, you can obtain wonderous knowledge about the universe we live in.
Researching logical fallacies and philosophy is the best sort of candy for atheism - science books are awesome for understanding what does or could exist and how understanding changes. I agree, what is an atheist going to gain from a book about atheism? Oh, I SUPER don't believe in God now, thanks Dawkins!
