So it's been nearly a month and I realised I hadn't posted my intro!
My name(as if you hadn't realised) is Stuart and I'm a 37yo Train driver from Lancashire UK. I've been married since 05/05/05 and have a 16yo Daughter (yeah do the maths, I met my wife straight after leaving school and never looked back
I was brought up a non-practising C of E apart from Weddings and Funerals, but had a belief in God, Heaven etc mainly due to school and family not really offering any alternative. I started "seeing the light" after learning software programming which taught me logic and systems analysis. Further doubt started to enter my mind after reading books by Stephen Hawking and Roger Penrose among other authors that possible measurable origins of the universe.
Today I am what I would describe as a sympathetic Atheist in that I respect the right for anyone to believe anything they want as long as it doesn't affect other people in a harmful way, unfortunately I've found that with theists this is rarely how it turns out.
