Can you provide proof or evidence that atheism is accurate and correct?

The major flaw is in thinking that atheism is a statement which needs to be proven accurate and correct. Since it is just a lack of belief in other people's assertions without proof, there's no need to "prove" it. It's yet another shifting of the burden of proof which Christians like to use because they know that atheists can't prove a negative.
