I sometimes hear atheists and other nonchristians say they won't listen to arguments presented by Christians because we're only human.

Out of curiosity, where did you "sometimes" hear this? Is it a verifiable source to begin with?

I think it is, if I may say, a retarded thing to say, if it were true, to choose not to listen because you're "only human". I have a feeling whoever said this, if true, has issues themselves. You're talking here and we're listening AND responding so what does that say about what you said then? However, if it was meant in a certain context then please specify, otherwise this is a redundant question.

The common trait of theists is attempting to prove the legitimacy of the bible with the bible which is ridiculous IMO.
