Former believers, did you feel religion scammed you?

I feel embarrassed that I used to be a christian. I also I feel jealous for those that were never in a faith. Is there anyone else that feels this way?

I feel sorry. I was a devoted Muslim (but not extremist or hateful) and I had a very strong faith in God. I prevented myself from many pleasures in life for years to satisfy God. I also believed that He was planning my life for me. This had made me passive to the extent that made me neglect many opportunities for years. All what I do these days is to try to restart my life again through pragmatism and rational thinking.

If I had been at this state of practical thinking 7 years ago my life would have been changed radically. Anyway, thanks for God for that he hadn't deceived me more.
