I'm always struck by the emphasis on praise. Who do we praise? Our dogs, our kids .. and God. That is so weird. "Atta boy, God! Way to go! You the man!" As if Christians are really looking to choose which of God's acts is and isn't praiseworthy. No, they assume everything He does is perfect and if its perfection isn't obvious it's because of their own limitations. Most Christians seem to abandon themselves and all responsibility to God. I think they call it turning things over to God. I call it abdicating their dignity as a person. [/rant]
