If a god was infinitely more powerful than everything else, it wouldn't give one single damn about people bowing or singing songs to him.
Not per say but adults humor them and treat them in a special way. I mean if a full grown man demanded some sort of special devotion just because he had a job and responsibilities that would be ridiculous. Only children need special attention. Sane adults take action and do positive things through their own initiative. Your god acts like the former.
