"How do you know what building materials they used? The prymids are pretty close to 50 stories today, meaning take away erosion and weathering they great prymid exceeded 50 stories.."
Genesis 11:3 "They said to each other, “Come, let’s make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” They used brick instead of stone, and tar for mortar."
As far as I know you cannot make a building higher than 30 stories from bricks as they collapse under their own weight - let alone the weight of the building they support.
The Egyptians used carved stone - with good reason.
Now why did God want to make some things impossible for men?
Fear?
Ignore the last question - our posts overlapped.
Again How do you know what building material they used?
'Brick' is a generic term it simply describes a shape, and arguabliably the fact that they are man made. all other elements of 'bricks' are variables. because the bible did not give you the 'brick receipe nor how long they were baked or even how long they were allowed to dry, before being baked, one can not say for certain what they were able to build.
Remember even the Romans made Cement stronger and more versitiale and able to work under heavier loads and last longer than anything currently being used.http://www.businessweek.com/articles/2013-06-14/ancient-roman-concrete-is-about-to-revolutionize-modern-architecture
It's been 2000 years and we are just now beginning to understand what made Roman cement so strong. And that wasn't baked in ovens it air dryed... So again how could you possiably know what the men of babble were using as building materials?

Ah, the atheist Faith hard at work. Belief and blind faith in a given position because someone smarter than you told you it was true...
Kinda how everyone thought the world was flat because the scholars of the Day said so..
