Ah so we're moving from argument from design to argument from existence? Something like:
P: Without God, the universe wouldn't exist.
P: The universe exists.
C: Therefore, God.
Again, "I don't know" is a valid answer in science which leads to discovery, while "Goddidit" leads to intellectual stagnation. Even if we don't know exactly how the universe began, it doesn't mean that "Goddidit" is the right answer or that we won't discover the answer to that question at some point in the future.
