Why atheism always has a burden of proof

There's a reason there's nothing to detect.

The reason being he isn't a physically created thing within the universe he made the universe and all the things we can see and detect to begin with.

If "creating stuff" is what god does, then why did he quit? We could detect new stuff being created even if we couldn't detect the creator. If a new planet popped up in our solar system tomorrow we'd know something is up! But alas, god had to stop creating things too, just like he had to hide all the evidence of the jewish exodus, the garden of eden, the tower of Babel, the trees of life and knowledge, the arc of the covenant, and the magic bones of the prophets, just so us sciency intellectuals don't have a reason to believe he exists.
