There are plenty of white atheists in media, just very few in pro sports, black or white.
Even with that, try pointing out black atheists in history to your black theist friends.
I understand that there are very few black atheists, but it just seems kinda weird to me that the main reason to listen to them is because they are black atheists. It gives me the impression that the reason for liking them isn't their music but their background. It'd be like if I said I didn't like actors/actresses, except for Marlee Matlin because she's deaf and I only like deaf actors/actresses. So what if she's deaf, is she good?
It'd be different if you were just talking about supporting them. I'll support any black atheist for being a black atheist. That shit is tough. But it doesn't mean I have to like their music/acting/dancing/etc just because they're a black atheist.
