That's the thing; the further they have to make their god retreat, the more strident and unwilling to listen to reason they have to become in order to keep him safe from interference. The more questions science answers, and the more answers we have to give theists, the more willing to ignore this they have to become in order to hold onto their beliefs, and we're seeing that now, where Grace has to define everything in such a way that she can ignore the conclusions we've come to simply because they don't come up with the result she wants (her "no-god assumption" bullshit.) We're seeing it with presuppositional apologetics, that desperate last attempt at silencing opposition instead of proving the point.

In the end, the death of christianity won't come through science, but through the christian response to science. The weight of evidence will keep piling up, until those that deny it will become like the flat earthers or believers in a geocentric universe. Christianity will literally embarrass itself to death.
