But, while we're on the subject of making stuff up, why not make it 3D time? and 12-D space?
I mean, even us in our 3-D space don't go through all the 2-D planes available... so maybe your god is just floating along those 12 dimensions dealing with his own life and only every so often he drops by our tiny 3-D+1 plane.
That makes god the same as the absent god... deism... still a more sound position than any religion.
