Without a standard to compare it to, how can we know it has been 'hacked?' Or better yet how do can we know we haven't been fooled into accepting evil as the Holy Spirit?

That seems a bit tricky, give the scriptural verification that God intentionally deludes people. How is one to know whether one is being given bad advice from God or from Satan?

Again that is what the bible is for. To help one to discern God's word/Expressed will from the expressed will/word of any other source.
